Challenges And The Life

Do people think that they will be left alone because they say: "We believe," and will not be tested. And We indeed tested those who were before them. And Allah will certainly make (it) known (the truth of) those who are true, and will certainly make (it) known (the falsehood of) those who are liars, ( knows all that before putting them to test)." Q29:2-3

The phenomenon which surrounds human's life is challenges. Going by the history of the past, one will deliberately confirm that a life without challenges is not worth living. But the question to ask of is,  why humanbeing cannot be inseparable from having problem? Because it becomes known that man in one way or the other facing some obstacles which seem insurmountable to the victim from different stages of life. For the religious mind will hastily say; what God wants to derive from this test?

Problem be as it may,  a means through which The Creator assesses the status of His creatures. This assessment is determined by the status in which the creatures seem to claim before his Lord.  The Lord in return test His servants by his worth not only in order to elevate his status or maintain good relationship with him but also to confirm solely his status level before Him. In other words, a believer in his God who claims religious upright faces problem that if without divine intervention one may easily lose his faith and his religiosity. According to the Bible (Matt. 4:5-7, 4:8-10, 4:34; Luke 4:3-4, 5-6 and 9-12) the temptation of Jesus by the Devil is a clear example of this. Where Jesus was tempted to lose favour of God conferred on him for lively material. It was through inbuilt guide (divine intervention)  that God bestowed on him made him survive this trial.

The wisdom behind this is that nothing comes as one might likely thought; it is a problem that leads one to his breakthrough. Because problem is the staircase of success as it famously said that problem is the lamp of the saints. Nothing; I repeat nothing, comes as gift without its worthy turmoil. Prophet Muhammad and his companions to what we can called Islamic Commonwealth today served different frustration ranging from Isolation to banishing and its sort to the extent that their belief status shaken and a provocative statements were uttered out of frustration. Thus, Allah reveals it in Q2:214:

"Or think you that you will enter Paradise without such (trials) as came to those who passed away before you? They were afflicted with severe poverty and ailments and were so shaken that even the Messenger and those who believed along with him said, "When (will come) the Help of Allah?" Yes! Certainly, the Help of Allah is near!".
Here comes our provocative statement we utter during the time of trial that we mostly say;  God why?  Why it has to be me despite all my servitude, why me all time?

This is a delicate stage that most people lost their beliefs when trial develops to a stage where such statements is being uttered from mouth, only bit remnant of belief can be found in one's heart. That is  a breaking point because heart is an elastic in nature when it exceeds stretching point it breaks. This is most terrible state because it's a state a believer eventually becomes unbeliever, intelligent becomes fool and a rich becomes poor. Also, it is the time for breakthrough. Because breakthrough comes in this stage at the utmost  frustrated point, the broken point of elastic band.

What makes this stage most dangerous one is that, it is a stage that everyone felt relenting their efforts and giving up their dreams and hopes of possibility. A sick felt dying, poor felt inexistence and the rich felt destroyed. The worst state that man prefers death to life because trial is more severe than death. But for anyone who can bear this stage becomes successful. And have a great transformation in all his affairs. However, only the least of people experiences and found in this stage because prior to this stage; most would have diverted their beliefs to something else. Most change their faith in the hope that their previous faith has no salvation or not capable of salvaging them out of their obstacles.

Whereas, problem is not solved by changing faith because problem is a seal stamped on one's destiny. You live by it and it's a part and parcel of individuals. Thus, problem solving is not the parameter to measure the true faith. Because if it's, then consider the athiests they do get their problem solved without considering God!

Ayub (Job) overcome his problem without denouncing his faith, Yusuf (Joseph) rules without denying his religion and Muhammad (PBUH)  controls despite mockery from antagonists without joining their religion. Problem is an inevitable phenomenon in human's life. Whether you are a theist or not; you are religious or not. It's an inseparable entity that one can't live without. It's a concept through which The Creator examines His servants as teacher does examines his students to verify their capabilities. Though, we always pray may He deliver us from all challenges.
